One time contributions (deposits) that you make from the mobile app are processed right away. However, they will not be available to spend from your Starship account for 5-7 business days. Processing times vary bank to bank, but we try to make them available as quickly as possible.
We process your monthly recurring contribution (MRC) on the 1st of every month, so it will be available to spend 5-7 business days later. MRC's are deposits that you have set up--oftentimes during onboarding so that your savings is essentially on "autopilot." You can adjust the value anytime before the 1st, but once the monthly pull has occurred, we are not able to stop a deposit after the 2nd day of the month.
How to set up one time or monthly recurring contributions:
Log in to your Starship account to see your balance and adjust your recurring contributions by:
Tap the "+" funding button on the home screen.
Tap "Add money"
Set your Monthly Contribution amount by moving the slider (set it to $0 if you want to pause it)
